What makes for success with Enhanced Lenses?

Better results if you… Not as good results if you…
  1. Are highly desirous of being less dependednt on glasses or contact lenses.
  2. Desire intermediate vision.
  3. Understand that vision with an enhanced lens has both pro’s and con’s.
  4. Are willing to accept up to several months of adaptation to your new vision.
  5. Are farsighted.
  6. Are highly nearsighted (greater than -6.00D).
  7. Are willing to accept possible night vision symptoms and some loss of contrast sensitivity.
  1. Are not motivated to be less dependent on glasses or contact lenses.
  2. Are unwilling or unable to accept several months of adaptation to your new lens.
  3. Have high or unrealistic expectations of perfect vision with no possible challenges.
  4. Have unstable lens support.
  5. Have significantly dry eyes.
  6. Have mild to moderate nearsightedness.
  7. Have an anxious or high strung personality.
  8. Have “lazy eye” disease (of the macula, retina, or cornea), glaucoma, or irregular or high astigmatism.
  9. Have small pupils (less than 2.5 mm).
  10. Have a job that requires a lot of work at near distance.
  11. Drive at night for a living or have an occupation or hobby that depends on good night vision.
  12. Are a pilot.
